30 Growth Marketing Agencies for Startups and Scaling Companies

By , a partner in Fieldtrip, the agency group that includes inBeat and Web Tonic. Both are among the 30 firms below.

Published Updated 27 min read

Hiring a growth marketing agency means handing an outside team part of the work of finding and keeping customers. Some agencies plan and run several channels together: paid search and social, conversion work on your site, email and reporting. Others concentrate on one channel, such as organic search, or on one kind of company, such as consumer brands or B2B software. Which kind you need depends on what already works in your business and what you still have to prove.

This guide compares 30 growth marketing agencies for startups and scaling companies. It sets out who each firm says it serves, the client results it publishes and any fees or terms it states, then covers how to match an agency to your stage and what to settle before you sign.

The firms were chosen from a wider set of candidates, each checked on its own site on October 6, 2026. A firm is listed when its pages offer growth marketing (a growth marketing, growth hacking or growth team service, not general digital marketing alone) and name at least one client, case or testimonial. Figures and terms are the firms' own, and several firms work across the groups.

Growth marketing agencies at a glance

If no channel is reliably bringing in customers yet, start by checking which full-funnel teams accept your stage and will run channel tests. Consumer brands spending heavily on paid media and creative should look at the second group, B2B companies at the third, and companies that want organic search and AI answers to become a second channel at the fourth.

Firms are alphabetical within each group, and the profiles follow the same order. Service descriptions and results are the firms' own, read October 6, 2026.

Labster case study (opens in a new tab)

none; the homepage FAQ states a 100-day progress guarantee

GrowthHit's Labster case reports 53 A/B tests for the education technology company. Labster's redesigned homepage, with a single call to action, lifted demo form submissions by 145% at 97% confidence. A Spanish-language campaign in Latin America brought cost per lead to $7.10, against a blended historical $90. The page says US and Canadian leads had cost $97 to $137 each on a $35,500 monthly ad budget.

The firm's FAQ says it is best suited to ecommerce (Shopify), B2B and lead-generation businesses doing over seven figures that already have traction. It offers a done-for-you model or a done-with-you model in which your team executes. Its conversion rate optimization page (opens in a new tab) promises "No Long Contracts."

Ask first
The FAQ's 100-day guarantee covers clarity on what is holding growth back, a roadmap and active execution, rather than a revenue result. The homepage separately says that at 120 days, if the firm has not paid for itself, "you shouldn't keep us". Ask how paying for itself is measured and what happens if it does not.

The agency says it migrated all traffic without losing rankings. Its case-study page (opens in a new tab) also names CareersPath, Volta Wireless, Door International and Viral-Loops, each with the work done.

The tiers page lists indicative prices in October 2026. GrowthBites is a two-hour, single-topic session at $400 an hour for early-stage startups that cannot afford higher prices. Pure consulting costs $3k to $5k a month with no execution, consulting with execution $4k to $10k, and a CMO Office $5k to $15k for companies that want the firm to take full ownership. A full implementation tier has no price. The page says prices "are indicative and may vary" with the size, stage and complexity of the business.

Growth Marketing Pro's Cube case, published in July 2026, covers a partnership with the financial planning software company that began in December 2020. The agency reports growing inbound traffic from virtually zero to 60,000+ monthly visitors and an organic pipeline of about 700 leads a month. It separately reports about 150 leads a month from AI referral traffic.

The agency says it works with fast-growing technology companies on SEO, AI search, Reddit, content and paid media, and that its founders previously led marketing at large technology companies. It says work starts by week two.

custom pricing; the firm says it is "not cheap"

Matterport's senior director of marketing says on OGM's homepage that the firm doubled Matterport's SEO-sourced pipeline and ecommerce revenue in under a year. Sharon Biggar, formerly VP of marketing at Hotjar, says it built Hotjar's SEO program from the ground up into its most efficient revenue acquisition channel.

OGM places a growth advisor inside your team, with specialists behind them, and says it does not bill by the hour. Its fit criteria are specific: post product-market fit with at least one channel working well, a brand people have heard of, clear messaging and an internal point of contact. On budget, it says it offers custom pricing and does not publish it.

How to choose a growth marketing agency

Start by deciding whether you need a channel found or a channel scaled. In 2021, on Working Without Pants, I described a lesson I learned from Russ Perry and from Alex McClafferty, a business advisor I worked with: "find or validate a channel first, and then really build a system around that and scale it." Before that, I jumped from tactic to tactic for a long time, which I called "naive early stage entrepreneur ADD marketing."

That is the lens I'd bring to an agency choice. If nothing works reliably yet, hire for disciplined testing of two or three channels. If one channel works, hire the team best placed to scale it.

  1. Decide what the agency must prove

Write down which channels bring in customers today, at what cost, and what you want to be true in six months. A team that finds a channel needs room to test and drop ideas. A team that scales one needs budget and a target to scale toward.

  2. Compare results on the measure you care about

Ask each firm for a case close to your business model, with the period, the spend and the starting point. A consumer brand's blended revenue, an app's retention and a SaaS company's pipeline are different measures. NEON Growth's MagBak case shows why blended revenue and revenue attributed to paid media need to be kept apart.

  3. Agree measurement, ownership and exit before work starts

Decide which numbers the agency reports, from which systems, and how often. Confirm that ad accounts, tracking, landing pages and email flows are built in your accounts. Put the notice period, any minimum term and the handover in the contract.

Questions to ask before you sign

  • Which channels will you test first, and what result would make you stop or scale each one?
  • Which of your cases matches our business model and stage, and what were its period, spend and starting point?
  • Who will work on our account each week, and is any of the work subcontracted?
  • What is your fee, what is the media budget, and which costs sit outside both?
  • What is the minimum term, the notice period, and what do we keep if we leave?
  • If you offer a guarantee, how is it measured and what happens if it is missed?

How this list was made

The firms were chosen from a wider set of candidates, each checked on its own site on October 6, 2026. A firm is listed when its pages offer growth marketing (a growth marketing, growth hacking or growth team service, not general digital marketing alone) and name at least one client, case or testimonial. Figures and terms are the firms' own, and several firms work across the groups.
