Moving to Vietnam & Making it
For the past 30 days, Elisabeth and I have been living in the Philippines. While I wish I could say it is has all been perfect, it truthfully hasn't.
We have had some great times. We went on an amazing private boat tour through the islands of the Philippines. It was an experience unlike anything I have ever had before.
We have also had a lot of bad times. We made about every rookie travel mistake possible and learned a whole lot about world travel and how to do it right.
While it hasn't been all perfect here, it has still been eyeopening. Living here for 30 days has opened our eyes to the Filipino culture and how a completely different society lives.
Yet after 30 days, we have had enough of the Philippines and we are off to Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam. We are off to explore somewhere new and experience a new culture.
Making it
As our location independent lifestyle progresses, so has my consulting career. For the past six months it has been a slow and steady build, yet after making a few changes to my marketing and positioning, my consulting career has blown up.
In the past four weeks I have received more inquiries for new work than I did in the past four months. These inquiries have filled up my schedule for the next few weeks and more leads are still pouring into the pipeline.
As a result of all of this, my rates are increasing and my client base is growing.
Over the next few weeks, I will be releasing blog posts specifically discussing the lessons I am learning about freelancing remotely and building a successful location independent career.
