Google Cloud Recruiters: 8 Firms for GCP Engineers and Architects

By

Published Updated 11 min read

Hiring for Google Cloud means looking beyond a cloud job title. For a migration, a data platform on BigQuery or workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), you want candidates who have delivered similar work. A recruiter familiar with the platform can search for those people and help you judge whether their experience matches your environment.

This guide compares eight recruiters and staffing firms that name Google Cloud talent among the roles they fill. It shows the evidence each one publishes, what it says about terms and speed, and what to settle before you sign. It is written for employers. If you searched for recruiters because you want to work at Google, Google's own careers site is the place to start.

DisclosureJake Jorgovan co-founded Alpha Apex Group, one of the eight firms in this list.

Compare Google Cloud recruiters

Each firm below shows, on its own pages read on October 7, 2026, a recruiting or staffing service that names Google Cloud talent, and publishes at least one client, placement, case or testimonial. The firms fall into two groups. Cloud specialists are cloud and infrastructure recruiters, or have a dedicated cloud recruiting team, covering AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Wider recruiting and staffing firms have a Google Cloud page or a cloud line inside a larger technology or executive search business. This is a shortlist without a ranking, A to Z within each group, and it does not cover the whole market. For Amazon Web Services or Microsoft roles, see the guides to AWS and cloud recruiters and Microsoft staffing agencies.

the United Kingdom, United States and Canada (its homepage)

Two client testimonials on Cloudnetworkers' homepage come from UK companies. One is attributed to a vice president of BT. The other, from a cyber security engineering manager, says the firm "brought first-class Cyber Security Engineering talent to Sky". The testimonials carry no dates, and neither describes a Google Cloud role.

The firm calls itself an independent cloud and infrastructure search partner "focused exclusively on the cloud technology market". It recruits cloud, DevOps, platform and infrastructure professionals for companies building on AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, from startups to enterprises, and lists 20 years of recruitment experience.

A Rackspace Technology human resources contact thanks the team on Energize's homepage (opens in a new tab) for its "professionalism and reliability". On the cloud and services pages, a director of professional services at a Premier AWS Partner says Energize Cloud understood its challenges in finding cloud talent. Neither testimonial mentions Google Cloud.

Energize Cloud is the group's cloud recruiting team, covering Azure, AWS and Google Cloud for permanent and freelance hires. Its cloud page reports 69,685 qualified cloud experts in its network and ten years supporting cloud businesses. The group's about page (opens in a new tab) dates its firm-wide Net Promoter Score of 71 to 2023. The group offers a Talent-as-a-Service subscription alongside retained, contract and contingency recruitment.

Potential fit
Cloud architects, SREs and DevOps engineers in the US or Europe, including several hires at once
Evidence
its cloud and infrastructure summary, with notable placements (opens in a new tab)

Glocomms' cloud and infrastructure summary lists notable placements by role, sector and location without naming clients. In the US they include a cloud architect for a life sciences company and a principal DevOps engineer for a data vendor; in the UK, a cloud migration consultant for an engineering consultancy. A head of site reliability engineering at a cybersecurity vendor says the team "expertly filled the roles I had for my team". None of the listed placements is described as a Google Cloud role.

Glocomms is part of Phaidon International. Its cloud and infrastructure team describes expertise across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, works with enterprise end users, cloud service providers and consultancies, and offers permanent, contract and multi-hire recruitment.

Potential fit
A UK IT solutions provider or managed service provider hiring cloud presales, engineering or consulting staff
Evidence
its client case studies (opens in a new tab)

InfraView's case studies name four UK technology providers. On the ANS case, chief executive Paul Shannon says the company has worked with the team "for well over a decade", and the roles placed there include a cloud presales solutions architect and infrastructure and cloud engineers. For CDW UK, it describes hires made from late 2018 through 2019, among them AWS and Azure solutions architects. Cancom and Lima Networks are the other two; none of the cases names a Google Cloud hire.

The cloud services page lists Google Cloud with Azure, AWS and hybrid cloud among the skills it recruits for, and says it has over 20 years' experience sourcing cloud professionals for IT solutions providers; its Cancom case dates the firm's founding to 2016, so that figure includes its founders' earlier work. Its client page (opens in a new tab) reports its own success rates by model: 93% for retained searches, 83% for exclusive and 64% for contingent, without defining the measure or its period. It also offers contract staffing and a managed recruitment service.

Recruiting and staffing firms with a Google Cloud or cloud line

4 of 8 firms

These firms recruit across many functions or technologies and present Google Cloud as one line among them. Their relevant offers differ: technical hiring alongside executive search at Alpha Apex Group, Adobe-related cloud architecture at Focus GTS, Google Cloud developers at Insight Global and US cloud engineering at iO.

Alpha Apex Group website, captured October 2026.

Potential fit
Google Cloud hiring through a firm that also runs executive searches for technology leaders

Alpha Apex Group's Google Cloud page reported firm-wide figures in October 2026: 2,000+ placements worldwide and a 43-day average time to fill full-time hires. It also says new candidates reach the hiring manager's inbox within 72 hours, without saying from which point or for which searches. Its client logos, including Siemens, Meta and Zendesk, cover the whole firm, and the page names no Google Cloud client or placement.

The page, titled "Google Cloud Executive Search & Recruitment", says the firm recruits professionals with expertise in Google and Google Cloud technologies and assesses how candidates collaborate and support technology adoption as well as their technical skills. Among the other positions it lists are technical staff (engineers, software developers and architects) and C-suite roles, including chief technology, information and data officers. For a CIO or CTO search, compare CIO and IT executive search firms.

Potential fit
A senior cloud architect for an enterprise whose marketing technology runs on Adobe

Focus GTS shows client logos on its talent solutions page, including American Express, Royal Caribbean International, Sony, Verizon and Baptist Health South Florida. The testimonials beside them, dated 2019 and 2020, come mainly from candidates.

Its practice centers on Adobe Experience Cloud, AI and data. For cloud work it places senior architects across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud "who understand both the platform engineering" and Adobe's experience platforms, on contract, permanently or through executive search for VP and chief architect roles. In October 2026, the page said screened résumés arrive within 48 hours. For a Google Cloud role outside marketing technology, ask whether its architecture team covers your environment.

no cost until the hire starts; quotes are custom

In a nearshore staffing case (opens in a new tab) posted in September 2026, Insight Global reports placing 14 consultants in Costa Rica between February and August 2026 for an unnamed infrastructure engineering company. The roles spanned software development, DevOps, AI, business systems and project delivery. The case does not mention Google Cloud. Its Google Cloud developers page also carries general staffing testimonials from Pluto TV, Nike, T-Mobile, Macy's and Kellogg Company.

In October 2026 the page said you don't pay anything "until your Google Cloud developer starts", and its FAQ said there is no cost "until your hire has begun an assignment", with a custom quote. Its headline promises screened candidates within 24 to 48 hours, while its three-step guide has a hiring partner call within 48 hours and the list arrive a few days after that consultation, so confirm when the clock starts. The FAQ puts interviews, onboarding and a start at one to three weeks in a typical case, depending on your interview availability and decisions. The firm reports a database of over 5 million pre-screened candidates, which it says includes thousands of Google Cloud developers, and more than 50,000 consultants placed a year across all skills.

Potential fit
US cloud engineering and DevOps hiring, or a technology team built through RPO or offshore delivery
Evidence
its case studies (opens in a new tab)

iO's case studies name technology clients and carry posted dates. One, posted in October 2025, says iO helped Leap AI grow from 10 to 70 employees in one year. None of the cases describes a Google Cloud hire.

An April 2025 article on iO's US site says the firm recruits across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, for cloud engineers, DevOps and SRE professionals, and cloud architects, from a US headquarters in Tampa. The page that once described its Google Cloud recruitment now redirects to its general talent solutions, and the site's current menus are organized by industry, so confirm that a cloud team will run your search. Its talent solutions (opens in a new tab) include exclusive and retained search, executive search, RPO, and offshore and nearshore teams.

Do you need a permanent hire, a contractor or a Google Cloud consulting partner?

The searches that bring people to this page mix three different purchases. Settle which one you are making before you brief anyone.

A permanent hire suits work that will last: running your platform, owning your data pipelines, leading a cloud team. A contractor suits a defined piece of work, such as a migration phase or a backlog of infrastructure tickets, and several firms above supply both. A consulting partner delivers an outcome under its own management. If you need a project done more than a person hired, Google's partner directory (opens in a new tab) lists consulting firms that offer migration, modernization and managed services on Google Cloud. Google's Affiliate Employer program (opens in a new tab) is open to Google Cloud customers and partners based and hiring in approved countries in North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Its application asks about entry-level cloud data analytics and cybersecurity hiring, so check eligibility and role coverage before treating it as a route for an engineering or architecture search.

I'd make that call before talking to a recruiter, and write down what the person must have delivered after 90 days. A recruiter can then test candidates against that outcome instead of a list of services.

What to settle before you sign

  1. Name the Google Cloud work, not only the title

"Cloud engineer" covers very different jobs. Say which services the person will run (BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Run, IAM and networking), whether the environment is GCP only or multi-cloud, and what the first project is. Google's certification list (opens in a new tab) separates associate certifications, such as Cloud Engineer, from professional ones, such as Cloud Architect, Data Engineer and Cloud DevOps Engineer, which can help you describe the level you need. Treat a certification as a starting point and test the work itself.

  2. Ask for evidence from Google Cloud roles

None of the eight firms names a Google Cloud client or placement on the pages read. Ask each one for two or three recent Google Cloud roles it has filled, at your level, and for a client you can call. A firm-wide placement count or a client logo does not tell you how many GCP specialists it has placed.

  3. Agree the terms in writing

Compare proposals on the same points: permanent fee or contract margin, when each payment is due, what happens if the person leaves in the first months, the fee for converting a contractor to an employee, and whether a quoted timeline ends at a shortlist, an accepted offer or a start date.

  • Which Google Cloud roles have you filled in the past two years, and can I speak to one of those clients?
  • Who will run the search day to day, and how much of their work is on GCP rather than AWS or Azure?
  • Who assesses candidates' Google Cloud skills, checks references and completes any background checks, and what will our team need to verify?
  • Is this a retained, exclusive or contingency search, and what is the fee or contract margin?
  • What happens if the hire leaves early: a replacement, a credit or nothing?
  • What does it cost to convert a contractor to a permanent employee?
  • Does your quoted timeline end at a shortlist, an accepted offer or a start date?
  • How will you report search progress, and how will you handle candidate information shared with our team?

How this list was made

Each firm's service, client, case-study, testimonial and pricing pages were read on October 7, 2026, starting from the original list of nine firms. A firm is listed where its own site shows a recruiting or staffing service that names Google Cloud talent and publishes at least one client, placement, case or testimonial. Every figure and client name below is the firm's own.
