Microsoft Staffing Agencies and Recruiters: 9 Firms Compared

By

Published Updated 15 min read

Hiring for Microsoft systems means choosing the people who will run your ERP, your CRM or your cloud platform. A Dynamics 365 consultant who has never taken a system live, or an Azure engineer who has only built test environments, can slow every part of the program they join. Specialist recruiters say they know the people who have delivered this work before, and several can supply contractors or a whole project team as well as permanent hires.

This guide compares nine recruiters for Microsoft technology roles: Dynamics 365, Azure, .NET, Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform. It separates recruiters centered on Microsoft technologies from broader technology recruiters, shows the evidence each one publishes and explains what to agree before you sign.

DisclosureJake Jorgovan co-founded Alpha Apex Group, one of the nine firms in this list.

Compare Microsoft recruiters by the kind of firm

Every firm below shows, on its own site, a recruiting service for Microsoft technology roles. The groups describe the kind of firm, not a ranking, and the list does not cover the whole market. Several of these firms are based in the UK, so each entry notes any US office or coverage the firm reports.

Nine recruiters for Microsoft roles, grouped by type of firm and A to Z within each group, from firm pages read October 7, 2026. Figures and named clients come from the firms. "Not stated" means the pages read did not publish it.

Recruiters centered on Microsoft technologies

4 of 9 firms

Dynamic Nation, Nigel Frank and Noir say they recruit only for Microsoft technologies, and Dynamics Recruiters' pages read advertise Dynamics recruitment and consulting. Dynamic Nation and Dynamics Recruiters concentrate on Dynamics; Nigel Frank covers business applications and Azure; Noir's current listings are mostly .NET developer roles.

Dynamics 365 consultants and developers in the UK or North America, from a small specialist
Evidence
clients page with its delivery process (opens in a new tab)

Dynamic Nation's client testimonial does not give a reliable reference. It says that over 18 months the firm helped attract "some of our strongest developers", but its attribution reads "David. J, ThemeForest, inc.", with no full name and no explanation of the company label. The other testimonials come from candidates and a former colleague.

Dynamic Nation describes itself as a boutique agency "specialising exclusively in Microsoft & Dynamics across the UK & USA", and its clients page says it covers all of North America. Its listings include US Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations project manager and consultant roles. The firm promises initial candidates from its database within 24 hours of a brief, then keeps searching until the role is filled. Its about page (opens in a new tab) reports more than 20 years' experience in technology recruitment.

Potential fit
Part-time Dynamics consultants or a dedicated Dynamics development team, as well as recruitment

Dynamics Recruiters claims "a proven track record of successful placements for prominent companies" but names no client, placement, case or testimonial on the pages read, and it does not say where it is based. Weigh it on the references it can give you.

The firm offers three things: Dynamics 365 recruitment for temporary and permanent roles, part-time Dynamics consultants and dedicated Dynamics developers, including offshore development teams. The roles it lists include functional consultants, Customer Engagement consultants, AX specialists and NAV, GP and SL developers. Its process runs from consultation and screening to shortlists, interview scheduling and support after placement, and it also sells Dynamics 365 migration and implementation consulting.

Which clients it has placed Dynamics staff with, where its recruiters and developers are based, and who employs the people it supplies.

Evidence
Microsoft Dynamics talent page (opens in a new tab)

Nigel Frank now sits inside Tenth Revolution Group, and nigelfrank.com redirects to the group's site. It calls itself "the original Microsoft talent specialists, serving the ecosystem since 2006", and the group's history says Nigel Frank became the world's largest Microsoft Dynamics recruitment firm (the firm's own description). Its pages name no client, placement or case study.

Its consultants cover contract, permanent and executive search assignments across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, Business Central and Copilot. The Dynamics page adds contract-to-hire, consulting teams for implementations and a hire-train-deploy model that builds in-house capability. The group's history says it opened offices across North America. Group-wide, the contract hires page (opens in a new tab) promises a shortlist within 48 hours, and the permanent hires page says clients receive a shortlist of three to five candidates. Nigel Frank also publishes a Microsoft Business Applications careers and hiring guide (opens in a new tab) with salary and hiring data, available through a form.

Ewan from the London Stock Exchange writes on Noir's clients page that the firm helped the team hire fourteen software developers within twenty days, after struggling to recruit even one in the same period. The page, first published in 2020, also reports that 97% of the candidates Noir places are still employed 12 months later and that clients see an 82% reduction in time to hire. It gives no period or method for either figure.

Noir describes itself as "totally focused on the Microsoft community" since 2005, recruiting permanent, contract and interim staff for Microsoft end users and partners. Its about page (opens in a new tab) reports a network of 2 million candidates and 1,000 clients, and the firm says it technically tests every candidate. Most current listings are .NET developer roles in the UK and Germany. Its homepage lists offices in Irvine, New York and Austin alongside London, Manchester and four other European cities.

Technology recruiters with a Microsoft practice

4 of 9 firms

These firms recruit across several technology platforms, such as SAP, Salesforce or Oracle, and run a dedicated Microsoft practice. InterEx, Next Ventures and Talent International also supply project teams.

statement-of-work teams billed on time and materials; fee not stated

InterEx reports that it placed 60 people at Nestlé in six weeks, 20% of them full-time employees and 80% contractors under statement-of-work agreements. The two projects included upgrading legacy applications for Azure, and the case headlines a 38-person Azure DevOps team built within two weeks. A second case study (opens in a new tab) describes an unnamed semiconductor manufacturer in Austin, Texas that onboarded 12 Azure cloud, data engineering and data science professionals in ten weeks. It grew to more than 40 contractors, 60% of them in Eastern Europe and the rest in the US. Both case pages were published in June 2024.

The website now presents InterEx as a data, ERP and CRM consulting and staffing firm, and its former Microsoft page no longer loads. Its Microsoft offer is set out in a US Microsoft staffing brochure (opens in a new tab) uploaded in August 2024, which covers Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Power BI and .NET. It lists contract, permanent, contract-to-hire, statement-of-work, retained and RPO models, and quotes a senior director in industry solutions delivery at Microsoft, unnamed, who calls the firm faster and more thorough than any other vendor they had used. The firm lists offices in London, Miami and four other cities.

linked standard terms uploaded in 2019: a permanent fee of 30% of annual basic salary plus guaranteed earnings; a contract fee of a 30% margin on the charge rate, or 35% of the pay rate if the charge rate is unknown; fees non-refundable; a signed contract takes precedence

Stuart Hill, CIO of Dunlap, says on Next Ventures' Azure page that the firm made "a critical hire" of an ERP manager to oversee the company's whole Dynamics AX implementation. The Azure page was first published in 2020, and the testimonial carries no date of its own. The firm's Dynamics 365 page (opens in a new tab) also links an interview in which Tom Moore of Power 365 Solutions credits the contractors Next Ventures supplied with helping the company grow.

Next Ventures runs five practices, including business applications (Dynamics) and cloud and infrastructure (Azure), and reports offices in New York, London and six other locations. Firm-wide, its homepage says more than 70% of its technology recruitment placements come from existing clients. Its Dynamics 365 page offers permanent hiring, contract placements, statement-of-work consulting and project-based resourcing for Microsoft partners and end users. It promises a vetted contract shortlist within 8 to 24 hours and a permanent shortlist within 24 to 48 hours, and says it references every Dynamics 365 candidate it places. Its standard terms (opens in a new tab), linked from its site, set out the fees in the pricing line above. The permanent fee base includes bonuses and benefits, with £5,000 added for a company car; contract fees are invoiced monthly against approved timesheets, and invoices are due in 14 days. The terms use VAT and English law, and a later client or permanent contract takes precedence. They also treat interviewing a candidate the firm introduces as acceptance of the terms, even without a signature. The document sits in a 2019 upload folder, so confirm which terms apply to you in October 2026 before interviewing anyone.

Its testimonials page quotes an operations director at a UK Microsoft Gold Partner: "Pearson Carter found us a Business Central lead in twelve days after another agency spent two months sending irrelevant CVs." A program manager at a UK public sector consultancy calls it the default partner "for anything Azure". Neither is named. Firm-wide, the homepage reports work with more than 4,000 companies and 15,000+ placements in over 20 countries.

The Dynamics 365 page (opens in a new tab) calls Dynamics its founding specialism and says the firm has placed consultants, developers, architects and project managers since 2014, with roughly half of its placements at Microsoft partners and half at end users. It has separate recruitment pages for .NET and for Microsoft 365. The firm has offices in Newcastle upon Tyne, Melbourne and New York, and quotes a qualified shortlist within 48 hours to five working days.

Evidence
Microsoft practice page with case studies (opens in a new tab)

Talent International reports 17 placements in a year (opens in a new tab) for BDO Canada's Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations practice, eight permanent and nine contract. Its Microsoft page links eight case studies with named clients. Caplugs (opens in a new tab) was moving from Dynamics NAV to Business Central across the US, Canada and Europe. For that project the case lists three full-time hires and three contractors, though it also says a sixth hire was still to come. It reports contractors at $140 to $180 an hour against $250 an hour or more through Microsoft partners. Caplugs' CIO, Ken Lockwood, recommends the team on that page. Case studies with Crayon (opens in a new tab) (14 contractors in under 12 months as its sole Microsoft recruitment supplier in the US) and KiZAN (Azure and Microsoft 365 hires since 2022) carry testimonials from named managers. None of the case pages shows a publication date.

The firm says it has spent 25 years building a Microsoft resourcing, consulting and delivery practice for end users and partners, covering Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and data and analytics. Its Microsoft partners page (opens in a new tab) reports work with more than 100 Microsoft partners and says it can usually present suitable talent within 48 hours. The Microsoft page offers contact offices in Australia, New Zealand and New York.

IT executive search page (opens in a new tab)

Alpha Apex Group's Microsoft page reports 2,000+ placements worldwide and a 43-day average time-to-fill for full-time hires. The placement count is firm-wide, the page does not say whether the 43-day figure includes Microsoft roles, and it names no Microsoft placement, client or case. Its client logo strip is the same one shown on the homepage. The firm's corporate office is in Denver.

The page describes recruiting within the Microsoft ecosystem by first learning the technologies a client uses and the goals behind each hire, with support from screening through placement and advice after the hire. It lists C-suite roles such as CTO, CIO and chief data officer, VPs, directors and managers, and technical staffing for engineers, software developers, architects and IT specialists. The firm's IT executive search page covers CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and senior IT leaders.

What the firms publish on cost and speed

Among the pages read, Next Ventures alone gives numerical recruitment fees. Its linked standard terms, described in its entry, make those fees non-refundable; confirm which terms apply to your engagement. Dynamics Recruiters' terms say its fees are set in each agreement. No replacement guarantee was found on the pages read. Next Ventures also works on a contingent, exclusive or retained basis, Pearson Carter offers retained or contingent permanent search, and InterEx's brochure adds retained search and RPO to its contract and statement-of-work models. Ask every firm for its fee, the margin on any contractor, the fee to convert a contractor to permanent, and what happens if a hire leaves early. The guide to what executive search firms charge explains the common fee structures for leadership hires. The one published rate comparison is in Talent International's Caplugs case, set out in its entry, and it covers a single project.

The shortlist promises on the firms' pages in October 2026 run from 8 to 24 hours (Next Ventures, for a contract shortlist) to five working days (the upper end of Pearson Carter's range). Each ends at a shortlist or first candidates, not at an accepted offer or a start date. Three firms give general placement or fill-time figures: InterEx's 2024 brochure gives a seven-day average time to placement, Pearson Carter says most permanent Dynamics 365 roles are filled in two to four weeks, and Alpha Apex Group reports a 43-day average for full-time hires without saying whether it covers Microsoft roles. None says how its figure is measured. Next Ventures' clients page (opens in a new tab) separately says a two- to three-week process may be expected where interviews are streamlined and communication is quick, and that complex roles can take longer; it does not say whether that ends at an offer or a start date. Ask how long the firm's last few searches for your kind of role took from brief to start.

Salary figures help set the budget before you brief anyone. Pearson Carter's Dynamics 365 page puts typical 2026 US pay for functional consultants at $110,000 to $145,000, developers at $100,000 to $135,000 and solution architects at $150,000 to $200,000. Its detailed salary guide breaks pay down further by product and role, so ask which figure fits yours. These are one firm's figures; compare them with your own data and with the salary guides that Nigel Frank and Pearson Carter publish.

How to choose a Microsoft recruiter

  1. Decide what to grow and what to hire

I think of talent as something a business grows: hire people with great attitudes and train them into owning their roles. I'd start a Microsoft hiring plan the same way, by asking whether an experienced colleague could train someone who already knows your business into the role. Some roles, such as a Power Platform administrator or a junior Business Central consultant, can be grown from people who already know your processes when you have experienced supervision and enough time. A solution architect for an ERP migration is harder to grow in the time a program allows, and that is where a specialist recruiter earns its fee.

  2. Name the product, the module and the delivery model

"Dynamics experience" covers very different work. Say whether you run Finance & Operations, Business Central or Customer Engagement, whether the role implements, supports or extends the system, and whether you hire as an end user or as a Microsoft partner. Pearson Carter, for example, says its placements are split roughly evenly between partners and end users, and the two sides look for different experience.

  3. Choose permanent, contract or a statement of work

A contractor fills a gap in a live project; a permanent hire keeps the knowledge after go-live. InterEx, Next Ventures and Talent International also supply project teams, and InterEx bills its statement-of-work teams on time and materials. Agree who manages the work under each model before you compare prices. If you need a partner to deliver the whole implementation, compare ERP implementation consultants instead.

  4. Ask for proof in your module and your country

Several of the published examples come from Microsoft partners and consultancies, whose needs differ from those of a company running Dynamics or Azure for itself, and few say when the work took place. Ask each firm for two recent placements in your module, at your level and in your country, and for a client you can call.

  5. Put the terms in writing

Get the fee or margin, payment trigger, conversion fee, replacement terms and any exclusivity in the contract before candidates are introduced or interviewed.

  • Which Microsoft products and modules have you filled in the past year, and in which countries?
  • Who will run our search, and do they recruit only for this technology?
  • How will you source candidates and test their experience of delivering this work?
  • How often will we hear about the search and the candidates in it?
  • What is your fee or contractor margin, and what does it cost to convert a contractor to permanent?
  • What happens if the person leaves in the first months?
  • How long did your last three similar searches take from brief to start date?
  • Can we speak to a client you placed someone with in our module?

Which of your Microsoft roles could you grow from inside, and which do you really need to buy?

How this list was made

Each firm's service, client, case-study, testimonial and pricing pages were read on October 7, 2026, starting from the original list of eleven firms. A firm is listed where its own site shows a recruiting service for Microsoft technology roles, either as its whole business or through a dedicated Microsoft page or brochure. Every figure and client name below is the firm's own.
