SAP Recruiters and Staffing Agencies: 11 Firms Compared

By

Published Updated 13 min read

An SAP program depends on a small number of people who know your modules, your release and the phase your program is in. When one of them is missing, the work waits. A recruiter that specializes in SAP should know where those people are, how to judge their experience and how quickly it can put candidates in front of you.

SAP recruiters sell different things. Some supply contract consultants for a program, some run permanent searches for SAP specialists, and a few run leadership searches for program directors and CIOs. This guide compares 11 firms, based in the US or in Europe, by the SAP hiring they offer, the proof they publish and the terms they state. It then covers how to brief them and how to check the candidates they send.

DisclosureJake Jorgovan co-founded Alpha Apex Group, one of the eleven firms in this list.

Compare SAP recruiters by where they work and what they fill

Each firm's own pages, read on October 6, 2026, show a recruiting service dedicated to SAP hiring. This is a shortlist without a ranking, and it does not cover the whole market: many IT staffing firms and SAP consultancies also place SAP people. If you need a firm to implement SAP for you, see ERP implementation consulting firms.

Eleven SAP recruiters, grouped by where they are based and A to Z within each group, as their own pages described them on October 6, 2026. All figures, clients and terms come from the firms themselves; "Not stated" marks anything the pages read did not publish.

Alpha Apex Group website, captured October 2026.

Potential fit
A senior SAP leader or a project-specific SAP hire, from a firm that also recruits outside SAP

Under "Trusted by the best", Alpha Apex Group's SAP page shows client logos, among them Siemens, ArcelorMittal and Skanska, without saying which hires were SAP roles, and it describes no SAP case. Its figures are firm-wide: more than 2,000 placements worldwide and an average time-to-fill of 43 days for full-time hires, as published in October 2026.

The page offers two services: SAP leadership search, for leaders who will run SAP initiatives and digital transformation, and project-specific recruiting for the SAP expertise a team needs. It describes support from the first consultation to after the placement, and advice on building and scaling an SAP team.

Ask first
which SAP roles has the firm filled, and can we speak to one of those clients?

ASAP Talent Services website, captured October 2026.

Potential fit
A permanent SAP hire in North America, from team lead to CIO, or consultants on staff augmentation

ASAP Talent Services says on its SAP page that it has placed SAP professionals with well over 60 Fortune 1000 clients, without naming them. It places CIOs, VPs, directors, SAP managers and team leads, and technical and functional SAP professionals, on direct-hire terms or as consultants for staff augmentation. Its parent company is Veritas Management Group, and its founders started the firm in 2006 after establishing an SAP practice in the Midwest in 2000.

Its homepage (opens in a new tab) carries testimonials from executives at named clients, including NetJets, Kansas City Southern Railway and Sprouts Farmers Market, and a row of client logos; none of the testimonials describes an SAP hire. Its employer page (opens in a new tab), checked in October 2026, reports firm-wide figures: more than 400 executives and professionals placed with Fortune 500 companies, and 90% of clients receiving vetted talent within two weeks. The SAP page's structured data shows it was last updated in 2022.

Published pricing
contingent, engagement, retained and staffing models; amounts not stated

Blue Signal's placement log lists 21 roles with SAP in the title. Twenty were in food and agriculture between September 2019 and April 2021, among them S/4HANA solution architects and analysts for finance, HCM and production planning; the latest is an SAP techno-functional analyst in manufacturing in July 2024. The log names no client. Its SAP page covers greenfield and brownfield implementations, upgrades and support, and roles up to VP of business applications and director of SAP delivery.

Across all its work, the firm reports more than 3,500 completed searches. Its FAQ (opens in a new tab), checked in October 2026, says it backs placements with a 12-month guarantee, without the conditions.

an SAP leadership case study (opens in a new tab)
Published pricing
retained, contingent or engaged; amounts not stated

JRG Partners describes a retained, multi-role search for a global financial services firm whose SAP program needed a CIO, a VP of enterprise transformation, SAP finance transformation leaders and SAP governance directors. It says it mapped more than 550 executives and filled all the mission-critical roles within 12 months. The client is unnamed, and the case carries no date. Its SAP page summarizes two more unnamed searches. For a Fortune 1000 manufacturer's S/4HANA program, it assessed more than 450 leaders for roles including a chief digital officer and SAP program directors. For an enterprise technology company's S/4HANA modernization, it assessed more than 500, for roles including a CIO.

Its SAP practice "focuses exclusively on leadership talent": CIOs and chief digital officers, VPs and directors of SAP programs, and CoE leaders, for global enterprises, private equity-backed companies and system integrators. Its process presents a curated shortlist of three to five candidates. Its firm-wide employer FAQ (opens in a new tab), checked in October 2026, lists retained, contingent and engaged search, and a one-time replacement at no additional fee during the first 90 days of employment.

Its employers page (opens in a new tab) says each client works with one consultant. The firm is not affiliated with SAP the software company.

The homepage and employers page publish no named SAP placements, cases or testimonials, and the site links no other client pages.

contingency permanent recruitment, "No Placement, No Fee"

In a testimonial on EURSAP's site, Laura Liarte, Business Operations Lead, says the agency recruited more than 40 permanent German-speaking SAP support consultants for the Schwarz Group. Candidates it placed name employers and clients including KPMG, Air Liquide, Continental and Adidas, and its homepage shows client logos such as Bayer, Ferrero and KONE. None of the testimonials is dated.

The London-based SAP recruitment agency places contractors and permanent staff in 21 European countries. Its services page (opens in a new tab), checked in October 2026, promises matching CVs within an agreed time frame, typically under 48 hours for contract roles and under 10 days for permanent ones. Permanent searches run on contingency, or as a premium service for urgent, remote, niche, senior or confidential roles.

Potential fit
An SAP manager or technical specialist in the UK or Europe, on permanent, contract or interim terms

La Fosse's GfK case (opens in a new tab) reports more than 165 contract and permanent technology placements over an 18-month period; it does not mention SAP, and none of the six case studies on its case studies page (opens in a new tab) does.

The firm runs a dedicated SAP recruitment team that places SAP managers and technical specialists with end clients and consultancies, alongside its wider technology, change and executive search work. It recruits on permanent, contract, interim and executive search terms, with offices in London and Amsterdam, and mentions S/4HANA migration and cloud transformation. Its SAP page names no SAP client.

Evidence
the Nobia S/4HANA case (opens in a new tab)

For Nobia, a kitchen group, Next Ventures supplied SAP consultants to the finance and logistics teams of a greenfield S/4HANA implementation, and all of them extended and completed their contracts, according to its case study published in 2019. Trevor Barrett, Nobia's competence manager, is quoted recommending the firm.

Next Ventures runs separate SAP contract and permanent teams, and says it sends qualified CVs within hours of a contract requirement. Headquartered in the UK, it describes SAP recruitment across Europe and beyond, with more than 70% of its business from outside the UK. It holds the Swiss SECO license and the German AUG (labor leasing) license, with offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and France.

Several of PALTRON's client testimonials name the company, among them LetMeShip for a CTO search and Hitschler International for an IT manager; none describes an SAP hire.

The Hamburg-based IT headhunter has a dedicated page for recruiting SAP consultants and reports a network of more than 600,000 digital and IT experts. It handles each mandate exclusively. Across its professional and expert IT searches, PALTRON reports an average of 25 days to first candidates and four candidate presentations per hire on its professional-search page, checked in October 2026.

Potential fit
A team of SAP consultants for a large program, onsite, nearshore or offshore
Evidence
the ASDA S/4HANA case (opens in a new tab)

After ASDA separated from Walmart, it ran an SAP S/4HANA program to build its own ERP platform. Working alongside SAP UK, RED Global says it supplied retail SAP consultants across finance, procurement, supply chain, integration and commercial workstreams, with a 95% first-round candidate fit rate and more than 35 placements across the program.

The firm calls SAP its core focus within wider technology recruiting, and reports more than 40,000 placements across all its work. It offers contract, permanent and executive recruitment, onsite, offshore or nearshore, plus change managers and trainers. Two other named SAP cases describe larger teams. For Bosch (opens in a new tab), rolling SAP out across 300 associated companies, RED reports 44 SAP hires from 367 qualified CVs, on a page dated September 2021. A case titled Cemex (opens in a new tab) describes a global roll-out team of 100 SAP consultants, at least 75 of them on the project at once. Its case studies page (opens in a new tab) lists further SAP work, mostly for unnamed clients.

On its SAP page, a global resource manager at SAP UK says the SAP UKI resource management team has worked with Whitehall for more than a decade. In a case posted in December 2024, Whitehall placed an SAP SuccessFactors trainer for HSBC within days so that a go-live stayed on schedule.

Whitehall reports more than 25,000 placements for over 500 SAP clients since 2008, including one-third of the FTSE 100. It recruits permanent, contract and fixed-term staff, with teams for the UK and Ireland, continental Europe, the Middle East, India and the US (opens in a new tab).

Split the role before you brief a recruiter

Before you brief a recruiter, check whether the responsibilities belong in one role. For example, a brief that asks one person to configure finance and controlling, write ABAP, run testing and lead the rollout may combine responsibilities that belong to separate specialists. Ask your SAP team which responsibilities should stay together and which need separate specialists.

On my podcast in 2021, I described a role that was hard to hand over because it bundled research, email campaigns and guest scheduling. My first job description had one person managing all of it. "I literally split that up into three separate roles," and the arrangement made far more sense. If a role looks impossible to hand over or fill, it may be several jobs. I'd test an SAP brief the same way: name the modules, the program phase (implementation, support or enhancement) and the leadership the role carries, and see whether one person is realistic. Some parts may suit a contract consultant for the project, others a permanent hire who stays after go-live.

How to assess the SAP candidates a firm sends

A recruiter screens, but your team decides. These checks come from what SAP hiring needs; most can be set up before the first candidate arrives.

  1. Match the modules and the phase

List the modules and releases the role touches (for example FI/CO, SD, MM, HCM or SuccessFactors, on ECC or S/4HANA) and the phase of your program. An implementation consultant, a support analyst and an enhancement developer need different experience, even in the same module.

  2. Test with your own scenarios

For a hands-on specialist, use a problem from your system, such as a period-end issue, an interface failure or a configuration change, with a senior SAP colleague assessing the answer. For a program leader, use a decision about dependencies, rollout sequencing or go-live risk. Ask either candidate to explain the recommendation to a business stakeholder as well as to an SAP specialist.

  3. Check certifications at the source

SAP issues certification badges on Credly (opens in a new tab). Certifications in its Stay Certified program must be extended by a passed assessment every 12 months or they expire, according to SAP's stay-certified guide (opens in a new tab). Ask to see the Credly badge, and the current status of a newer certification, rather than a certificate file. Treat certification as one signal beside project experience.

  4. Ask references about the module and the phase

For hands-on roles, ask former managers which modules the candidate configured personally and what they delivered. For leadership roles, ask which decisions, teams and program outcomes they owned. In either case, check their part in cutover or go-live and how they worked with business stakeholders.

What to settle before you sign

None of the 11 firms publishes a fee percentage on the pages read, so ask each one on your shortlist for a written pricing proposal. EURSAP's contingency permanent recruitment costs nothing unless a candidate starts a permanent role, and JRG Partners describes retained, contingent and engaged terms. For how search fees are usually structured, see what executive search firms charge.

  • Which SAP roles like ours, in the same modules and program phase, have you filled recently, and can we speak to those clients?
  • Do you supply contract consultants, permanent hires or both, and who handles each?
  • How do you screen SAP skills before you send a candidate, and who does it?
  • For a permanent hire, is the search contingent, retained or engaged, what is the fee calculated on, and when is each payment due?
  • For contract staffing, what rate, agency margin, expenses, minimum term and conversion fee apply?
  • What onboarding and post-placement support is included, and who provides it?
  • What happens if the hire leaves in the first months: a replacement, a credit or nothing?
  • Which stage does your quoted timeline end at: first CVs, a shortlist, an accepted offer or a start date?
  • For contractors in another country, who holds the contract and handles the local licensing and tax rules?

How this list was made

Each firm's own SAP service, client, case, testimonial, fee and FAQ pages were read on October 6, 2026. A firm is listed where its own site has a recruiting service dedicated to SAP hiring, and grouped by where it is based. Every figure, client name and term is as the firm itself publishes it.
