Beauty, Fashion and Wellness Recruiters: 14 Firms Compared

By

Published Updated 17 min read

Hiring a senior leader at a beauty, fashion or wellness brand means finding someone who understands how your products are made, sold and talked about: a CEO for a founder-led skincare line, a VP of sales who knows prestige retail, or a head of e-commerce for an apparel label. A recruiter who works in the sector can reach people who are not looking for a move and help you judge whether they fit the brand. It should also be able to show you hires like yours.

This guide compares 14 recruiters and search firms that serve these industries. It groups them by the sectors they work in, shows the proof and terms each publishes and lists what to settle before you sign.

DisclosureJake Jorgovan co-founded Alpha Apex Group, one of the fourteen firms in this list.

Compare beauty, fashion and wellness recruiters

Each firm's own pages show a recruiting or executive search service for beauty, fashion or wellness employers: a specialist firm, a sector practice or a dedicated page. The table shows the proof each one publishes, including where the pages read show none. The list is not ranked, and other firms also recruit in these sectors.

Only Keller shows a fee rate on the pages read on October 6, 2026, and its own FAQ says the payment structure is discussed with each client. The last column shows the search model or terms where a firm names them, and the executive search fee guide explains the usual structures.

Guarantee
replacement program of up to 365 days

Keller's beauty page lists placements including a chief marketing officer for a cosmetics brand and a chief financial officer for a fragrance house, without naming the employers. Its testimonials identify the author by first name, initial and title.

Its approach page (opens in a new tab) says it typically presents a shortlist within 2 to 3 weeks and that its complete search, which ends with offer and acceptance, may take 30 to 60 days or more.

Before you brief a firm, decide what the hire inherits

A senior hire at a growing brand often inherits something unfinished: a first head of e-commerce with no reporting in place, or a VP of operations who arrives before the supply chain has a clear owner. A recruiter can help define the role and find the person. You still need to decide what the hire must achieve.

On my podcast in December 2021, I said that even if you want to hire someone for sales, "you need to be able to do sales first". The same goes for project management: without a basic structure in place, the person you hire walks into chaos and has nothing to work on.

I'd apply that test before calling a recruiter. Write down what already works in the function, what the new leader must build and what success looks like after the first year. A firm that understands those three answers can tell you whether the role needs a sector specialist or someone from a wider consumer background.

What to settle before you sign

  1. Write down what the role must deliver

Name the reporting line, the channels and markets the person owns, and the results expected in the first year. A CMO for a prestige skincare brand is a different search from a head of marketing at a clean beauty start-up. If the role is mainly marketing leadership, also compare CMO executive search firms; for food and household brands, see CPG recruiters.

  2. Ask for evidence from searches like yours

Request references from clients who hired at your level and in your category: beauty, fashion or wellness, prestige or mass, founder-led or part of a group. Testimonials on a firm's site show what it chose to publish; a reference call lets you ask how the search went and what the firm did when it stalled. Ask too how the firm judges whether a candidate fits the brand and its culture, beyond the CV.

  3. Agree the terms in writing

Compare proposals on the same points: the fee basis, when each payment is due, what happens if the hire leaves early, and whether a quoted timeline ends at a shortlist, an accepted offer or a start date.

  • Who will run the search day to day, and which beauty, fashion or wellness roles have they filled in the past two years?
  • Will you run this as a retained or a contingency search, and is the fee based on base salary or total first-year pay?
  • What do we pay at signing, at shortlist and at hire, and what is refunded if we stop the search?
  • If the person leaves within the first year, do you repeat the search, give a credit or neither?
  • When you quote a timeline, does it run to a shortlist, an accepted offer or a first day in the role?
  • Which companies will you not recruit from because they are your clients?

How this list was made

Each firm's own service, client, case and terms pages were read on October 6, 2026. A firm is listed where those pages show a recruiting or executive search service for beauty, fashion or wellness employers, and grouped by the sectors it works in. Figures, client names and terms are the firms' own published claims; proof is reported where a firm publishes it.
