ERP Implementation Consultants: 21 Firms Compared

By

Published Updated 21 min read

An ERP system changes how your company closes its books, buys, makes, ships and reports. An implementation partner can configure the software, migrate your data and connect your other systems, and an independent adviser can manage the project on your behalf. Choosing them decides who answers to you when the project slips, and who supports the system after it goes live.

This guide compares twenty-one ERP implementation consultants. It separates independent advisers from implementers, groups the implementers by the platforms they work on, shows the evidence and fees each firm publishes, and ends with what to settle before you sign.

DisclosureJake Jorgovan co-founded Alpha Apex Group, one of the 21 firms in this list.

Do you need an implementer, an independent adviser or both?

An implementer is usually a partner of the software vendor. It designs the configuration, migrates data, builds integrations, trains users and supports go-live. If you have already chosen your software and need outside help to implement it, shortlist firms with projects on that platform, then check their vendor status and the certifications of the consultants they would assign.

A client-side adviser works on your side: governing the project, managing scope and risk, leading change management and holding the implementer to its plan. Ask how the firm is paid and whether any vendor relationship could influence its advice. Ultra Consultants says its services do not replace the vendor consultants who bring product knowledge and user training. Pemeco makes the case for a client-side project manager, because the vendor's project manager manages only the vendor's deliverables and the integrator's manages only its own consultants.

A single-entity company with clean data and a standard scope may need only an implementer. Panorama suggests bringing in an adviser before selection, during complex implementations or when a project stalls. If you have not chosen the software yet, start with ERP software selection consultants.

Compare ERP implementation consultants by platform and proof

Each firm's own service, client, case, pricing and FAQ pages were read on October 6, 2026. A firm is listed where those pages show an ERP implementation service, either as an implementer or as an adviser who manages the implementation for the client. This is a shortlist without a ranking, and it does not cover the whole market: global systems integrators and many regional partners also implement these platforms.

For Infor, Columbus's homepage features Vedum's Infor M3 Cloud implementation, Ultra managed an Infor CSI implementation for Micro Control, and Surety consults on Infor Lawson. No firm in this shortlist is listed for Syspro or Deacom. For Syspro, start with SYSPRO's partner directory (opens in a new tab). For Deacom, ECI, which sells the software, describes its own implementation services (opens in a new tab), from process engineering to post-go-live support. If you need client-side oversight, consider one of the independent advisers below.

Most firms publish no fee on the pages read. The last column shows a fee or timeline where a firm's pages state one, and the cost section compares them.

Twenty-one ERP implementation consultants, grouped by role and platform and A to Z within each group, from their own pages on October 6, 2026. All figures, client names and terms are claims the firms make about themselves; "Not stated" means the pages read do not publish it.

Client-side advisers who manage the implementation for you

5 of 21 firms

These firms describe themselves as independent of software vendors, vendor-neutral or, in AArete's words, vendor- and technology-agnostic. They plan and govern the implementation, manage the integrator and lead change management, working alongside the vendor or its implementation partner.

Potential fit
A company that wants a vendor-agnostic firm to run software procurement and manage the implementation partner
Platforms
vendor- and technology-agnostic

In a March 2024 article on ERP implementation pitfalls (opens in a new tab), AArete says it initially limited critical system training to one user. When other users proved unprepared, it added function-specific sessions led by ERP consultants, and the client reached an on-time go-live. The article names neither the client nor the platform.

Its ERP consulting page offers four modules: needs assessment, vendor and technology procurement, implementation (project management with technical integration, run through a PMO) and post-implementation support. AArete says it is "vendor and technology-agnostic" and helps clients manage third-party support networks through an implementation.

client success stories (opens in a new tab)

Panorama's success stories include ERP selection, implementation and integration with a maintenance management system for an irrigation district, implementation project management for a consumer services company, and the audit and recovery of an in-progress ERP implementation for a municipality. The list names no clients and gives no dates. Named testimonials on its homepage come from Environmental Systems Corporation and Nevada Irrigation District, both about system selection.

The Denver firm says it is "100% independent" of ERP software vendor affiliation. Its implementation page (opens in a new tab) describes software implementation management covering technology, process, change and project management, and its FAQ says cost depends on an assessment of your needs. It also runs a government practice and offers software expert witness work.

no service fees stated on the pages read

Russ Finney, vice president of information systems at Tokyo Electron America, says in a testimonial on Pemeco's implementation page (opens in a new tab) that the company moved to its new ERP on the final weekend and balanced "$51M of inventory to the penny". Mecaer Aviation International's chief operating officer and Peerless Instrument Company's general manager also credit its Milestone Deliverables method. None states the platform or project length.

Pemeco, with offices in Toronto and the US, leads ERP project management, change management, oversight and governance, staffing and audit and recovery. Its FAQ says implementation "usually takes 6–18 months". It reports 800+ ERP projects on that page, while its site footer says 700+ projects; both come with a 100% success rate that the site does not define.

Third Stage Consulting Group website, captured October 2026.

Potential fit
A manufacturer or public body that wants an independent firm for both selection and implementation planning
Platforms
technology-agnostic

Third Stage's case on technology integration after a merger (opens in a new tab) describes an international manufacturing company with siloed systems after several mergers. The firm assessed its processes and culture, built a roadmap, advised removing unnecessary systems and supported the new ERP with change management. The case was published in December 2021 and names no client or platform and reports no quantified outcome. Its clients page lists sixteen client categories and shows client logos without describing the work.

The Englewood, Colorado firm calls itself "an independent, technology-agnostic advisor", and its ERP page (opens in a new tab) covers strategy, implementation planning, project management, change management, and data and integration. The same page says selection typically takes 3 to 6 months. Its homepage reports 400+ successful transformations, without saying how many were ERP implementations.

Platforms
vendor-neutral
Evidence
ERP implementation page with client results (opens in a new tab)

Ultra's implementation page says it drove a 12-week cloud ERP implementation for Independent Can Company that went live without disrupting orders, manufacturing or shipping; the case page (opens in a new tab) was published in 2018. The same page describes a rollout across 11 locations for Chicago Tube & Iron, replacing a 30-year-old system, and an 11-month implementation for a pre-commercial biopharma company delivered on time and under budget. It also cites the full Infor CSI implementation it managed for Micro Control, which went live on time despite data migration issues at cutover.

Ultra works for manufacturers and distributors and describes its consulting as vendor-neutral. Its implementation work covers process improvement, project management, data migration, change management and post-implementation support, and it says it aligns the vendor, the implementation partner and your team.

Potential fit
A fast-growing company that wants a NetSuite partner within an accounting and advisory firm

Eide Bailly's case study (opens in a new tab) on MBI, a Santa Monica fintech, says the NetSuite implementation "took only two months and came in under budget". The scope included transferring historical transactions, a new chart of accounts and connections to MBI's banking core and card data. The case does not say when the project ran.

On its NetSuite page, the firm says it ranks as "a Top 5 Global NetSuite Consulting Partner", is a frequent winner of NetSuite's Partner of the Year awards, and that its method draws on "hundreds of successful NetSuite implementations". The page gives no year or source for the ranking.

Potential fit
A North American company that wants a NetSuite partner with published prices before the first call
Published pricing
estimated packages from 200 to 250 hours ($40,000 to $60,000, 12 to 16 weeks) to 1,000+ hours ($200,000 to $250,000, 8 to 12 months); standard hourly rates $250 to $300, qualifying discounted rates $200 to $230. The package totals do not consistently match the hours at standard rates, and the estimated hour bands do not cap billing

Jimmy Arkin, accounting manager and NetSuite administrator at Freedompay, says on the GURUS homepage that the company had "a 90-day window" for its rollout and got it done with the GURUS team. A NetSuite partner since 2005, GURUS reports 2,500+ projects delivered.

GURUS publishes its prices in more detail than any other firm here. Its 2026 pricing guide (opens in a new tab), published in May 2026 and read in October 2026, bills hourly against an estimated hour band for an Activation package and three Sherpa tiers. It calls the bands "estimates, not caps": additional hours are billed at the agreed rate. A discount applies when any one of three conditions is met: prepaid hours, buying the NetSuite license through GURUS as partner of record, or helping GURUS tell the project's story. The guide lists discounted rates of $200 to $230 an hour. NetSuite licenses, third-party connectors and post-go-live managed services are billed separately, and heavy data migration may be scoped separately. The same guide puts partner fees across the NetSuite market at $25,000 to $75,000 for a small single-entity business, $75,000 to $250,000 for mid-market and $250,000 to $750,000+ for enterprise, which is its own estimate.

Ask first
which tier fits your scope, which rate underlies the estimate, which discount condition applies, and what work could take the project beyond the estimated hours?

Potential fit
A JD Edwards or Oracle customer moving to NetSuite, or a company that wants a US-based NetSuite team

Tom Cesario, vice president of IT at Radio Flyer, says Terillium guided the company's move from JD Edwards to NetSuite, building on "a decades-long relationship". Nick Welter of Kona Ice and John Wilke of Jungle Jim's International Market credit it with their NetSuite implementations. Its case-study list (opens in a new tab) includes three JD Edwards to NetSuite moves.

Terillium says it has over 1,000 ERP projects across NetSuite, Oracle and JD Edwards and more than 250 full-time, US-based consultants. The page sorts projects into three approaches. Its 90-Day Rapid Start runs on a fixed fee for a single entity with clean, exportable data and standard modules, once the data passes a readiness check. Standard projects are phased, and complex or multi-entity work runs on a custom statement of work. It says the main variable in the timeline "is almost always data readiness".

RKL's customer stories name Roush Yates Engines on Sage X3, Oppidan Investments on Sage Intacct and Wells Johnson on Sage 100. The Lancaster, Pennsylvania firm says it serves over 2,800 Sage customers in 50 states.

Its Sage Intacct cost page (opens in a new tab), updated in August 2026, gives conflicting figures for the same configuration (three entities, five business users and ten employee users). Its visible example puts the subscription at about $33,000 a year and implementation at $35,000 to $50,000; the FAQ embedded in the page gives $21,180 and $25,000 to $30,000. Confirm the applicable estimate with RKL before budgeting. A basic project, with implementation, go-live support and a year's subscription, runs closer to $40,000 upfront. Three patterns run through these terms. Software licenses are priced separately from the implementation. In GURUS's, RKL's and Crestwood's explanations, entities, integrations and data readiness drive the cost and the timeline. And the fastest options assume a simple scope: Crestwood's fixed-fee program requires a single entity with clean data, and GURUS's smallest tier assumes a strong internal team and a simple, defined scope. GURUS's guide quotes its general manager, Dominique Fréchette: "Be wary if your vendor agrees to do everything you ask."

For SAP, Oracle and Dynamics 365 Finance projects, no firm read publishes a price; expect a proposal after discovery.

Choose a partner for the years after go-live

In 2023 I wrote about how I make decisions, and I called one question from Ray Dalio's Principles one of my favorite tools: "If you make this decision today, do you think you will be happy 10 years from now?" I wrote that I use it whenever I make a large investment or bring on a business partner. An ERP implementation is both, and its consequences run well past go-live.

A project plan builds toward go-live, but you live with the configuration, the integrations and the support relationship for years after it. So before choosing, I'd ask what the firm will be doing for you in year three: who supports the system and on what terms, how upgrades are handled, and what your own team will know if the relationship ends. ArcherPoint describes 12-month support contracts, GURUS treats managed services as a separate engagement, and Crestwood says the first 15 minutes of a support request are unbilled; ask the others.

What to settle before you sign

  1. Decide the roles before you invite bids

Write down who will manage the project on your side. If no one internal can do it, budget for an independent adviser or a client-side project manager before you choose the implementer, so the adviser can help run the selection.

  2. Ask for references from projects like yours

Request two or three clients in your industry, on your platform, with a similar number of entities, sites and integrations, and ask them what went wrong. A testimonial on a firm's site shows what it chose to publish; a reference call shows how the firm handled problems.

  3. Compare proposals on the same terms

Ask every bidder for the fee basis (fixed, hourly or a bank of hours), what is excluded, how change requests are priced, and which stage the quoted timeline ends at: configuration complete, go-live or stabilization. Then set the measures you will track through the project; the ERP project KPIs guide covers them.

  • Which of your consultants will work on our project, and what are their certifications on our platform?
  • Which recent clients with our number of entities and integrations can we call?
  • Is the fee fixed, hourly or a bank of hours, and what is excluded: licenses, connectors, data migration, training, support after go-live?
  • How do you price a change request, and who approves it?
  • Does your timeline end at go-live or at stabilization, and which of our decisions can delay it?
  • Who owns data cleansing, user acceptance testing and training, and what must be signed off before cutover?
  • Who supports the system after go-live, on what contract, and what documentation do we keep if we change partners?

How this list was made

Each firm's own service, client, case, pricing and FAQ pages were read on October 6, 2026. A firm is listed where those pages show an ERP implementation service, as an implementer or as an independent adviser who manages the implementation. Firms are grouped by that role and by platform, A to Z within each group. Figures, client names, fees and timelines are the firms' own published claims.
